Tuckahoe (plantation)

Tuckahoe, also known as Tuckahoe Plantation or Historic Tuckahoe, stands in Tuckahoe, Virginia, on the boundary of Goochland and Henrico counties near Manakin Sabot. Built in the first half of the 18th century, it is a well-preserved example of a colonial plantation house and a distinctive colonial prodigy house, and Thomas Jefferson is recorded as having spent part of his childhood there. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1969.
