Villa Lituania

Villa Lituania is an early 20th-century villa at Via Nomentana 116 in Rome, Italy, designed by architects Pio Piacentini and his son Marcello Piacentini and set within a 9,000 square meter park, originally built for George Blunt Page and Maria Luisa Roca. Lithuania purchased the property in July 1937 and used it as its embassy from 1933 to 1940, before it passed to Soviet control after Lithuania's occupation and later became a consular building of the Embassy of Russia. Lithuania received compensation for the property in 2013 and formally relocated its mission to the fourth floor of the Palazzo Blumenstihl on March 28, 2019, resolving what had remained the last unrecovered diplomatic property of the interwar Lithuanian republic.
