Villa Susini, also known as Villa Sesini, is a building in the El Madania district of Algiers, Algeria, originally constructed by the notary Alexandre Sesini and designated a natural monument in 1926. The building housed the German consulate in 1927, but it became infamous during the Algerian War of Independence as a detention and interrogation site used by French forces against Algerian militants. After Algerian independence the villa briefly served as the headquarters of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and was later used, with Cuban coordination, to train Latin American revolutionaries. The Algerian Ministry of Culture placed the villa under official cultural heritage protection in April 2016.
