Nos. 600 to 626 Shanghai Street is a row of ten pre-war tong-lau, or shophouses, on Shanghai Street in the Mong Kok district of Hong Kong, built during the 1920s and 1930s, with the block from Nos. 620 to 626 believed to be the oldest. The three story verandah type buildings combine Guangdong Chinese design with Neoclassical European detailing, with shops on the ground floor and living quarters above, fronted by enclosed verandahs on columns. Designated Grade I historic buildings since 2000, they are among the few surviving examples of this pre-war commercial building type in Hong Kong, a style effectively barred by building ordinance changes after the 1960s.
