Schools and Educational Buildings

A building whose own defining first sentence identifies it as a school, academy or college, a structure built or used specifically to house formal instruction, distinguished from a building whose only educational tie is that a notable person once taught there, studied there, or separately founded a school elsewhere. This group gathers school, academy and college buildings named directly as such in their own defining description, distinguishing the type from a museum or library housed in a former school building whose present day function has since changed, which is gathered by that present function instead under this subcategory's other groups.
