College Farm is the only farm site remaining in Finchley, in the London Borough of Barnet, on Regents Park Road near Henlys Corner on the North Circular Road. Express Dairies founder George Barham first leased the land as Sheephouse Farm in 1868, and it was rebuilt and renamed College Farm, after nearby Christ's College, in 1882 to 1883; the farm became notorious in 1898 as the scene of the unsolved Finchley Murder of cowman Thomas Webb. It opened to the public as a visitor attraction in 1909, Express Dairies left in 1973, and a College Farm Trust formed in 2004 to restore the site, which today operates as an equestrian and pet store rather than a working farm.
