Architectural Association School of Architecture

Also Known As The AA
Schools of Architecture and Design

The independent London school founded in 1847 by articled pupils dissatisfied with pupillage, the oldest independent school of architecture in the United Kingdom. In the later twentieth century it became the most consequential incubator of experimental architecture anywhere; Rem Koolhaas and Zaha Hadid are among the figures it formed.
