Canadian Centre for Architecture

The Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA) is a museum of architecture and a research centre in the Shaughnessy Village neighbourhood of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, established in 1979 by architect Phyllis Lambert to raise public awareness of the importance of architecture and to encourage innovation and university research in the field. Its purpose-built home at 1920 rue Baile, designed by Peter Rose, houses a large architecture library and archives, hosts changing exhibitions throughout the year, and operates a study centre open to the public alongside educational and cultural programs. Phyllis Lambert serves as founding director emerita, with Giovanna Borasi as director and Bruce Kuwabara chairing the board of trustees.
