Design Museum, London

The Design Museum is a museum of product, industrial, graphic, fashion and architectural design in Kensington, London, England, founded in 1989 by Sir Terence Conran with Stephen Bayley as its inaugural chief executive, after the pair had created the Boilerhouse exhibition space at the Victoria and Albert Museum. It originally occupied a converted 1940s banana warehouse on the south bank of the Thames in the Shad Thames area before later relocating to Kensington High Street. Operated as a registered charity funding its exhibitions through ticket sales, the museum won the European Museum of the Year Award in 2018.
