The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) is the national, not-for-profit professional body representing architects and architecture in Canada, in operation since 1907. It coordinates the countrys provincial architectural associations at a national level and counts roughly 5,000 members across chapters that include British Columbia, Alberta and Nova Scotia. Since the Second World War the RAIC has worked to build connections between architecture and related design and construction professions and to develop shared standards of measurement in the building trades, operating in both English and French as Canadas official languages.
