Palace and villa entries within this atlas's Palaces of Italy group whose subject stands in Isole, Italy's own island macro-region: Sicily and Sardinia, though every member currently in this group stands in Sicily specifically, most of them the Baroque villas of Bagheria near Palermo. Belongs here: any palace or villa this atlas records as standing on Sicily or Sardinia. Does not belong here: a residence anywhere on the Italian mainland, gathered under this same group's siblings, Palaces of Northern Italy, Palaces of Central Italy and Palaces of Southern Italy; this group is smaller than the usual grouping floor this wave has otherwise applied elsewhere, kept separate here for the same reason Palaces of Southern Italy is, because Isole is one of Italy's own four real macro-regions and not an invented split.
