The Palais Rose, meaning Pink Palace, stands at 14 Allee des Fetes at the corner of Rue Diderot in Le Vesinet, in the Yvelines department of France. Built in 1899 and inspired by the Grand Trianon at Versailles, it was constructed for the shipowner Arthur Schweitzer. Roughly ten subsequent owners, including the Comte Robert de Montesquiou and the Marquise Luisa Casati, added to the house fame by hosting lavish receptions there. It was comprehensively restored in the 2000s under Emad Khashoggi, head of COGEMAD, who also directed the Chateau Louis XIV project in the forest of Louveciennes, and the building was added to France official listing of historical monuments by the Ministry of Culture in 1986. It is distinct from a second, unrelated building also called the Palais Rose that once stood on Avenue Foch in Paris and was demolished in the early 1970s, though the two shared a similar Grand Trianon inspired style.
