Palaces and Aristocratic Residences

Haardt Castle, known in German as Haardter Schloss and also called Villa Clemm after its builder, is a schloss-style villa in the village of Haardt near Neustadt an der Weinstrasse, in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate, standing on the eastern slope of the Haardt mountains above the site of the former medieval Winzingen Castle. Construction began in 1876, with a pavilion and terrace added by 1893. The estate today includes residential accommodations and a guest house, with parts of the grounds open to the public at the owner's discretion.
