Smithfield is a plantation house in Blacksburg, Virginia, built between 1772 and 1774 by Colonel William Preston as his residence and the headquarters of his farm. It was the birthplace of two Virginia governors, James Patton Preston and John B. Floyd. The house remained in family hands until 1959, when it was donated to the Association for the Preservation of Virginia Antiquities.
