Bay Point Farm

Bay Point Farm, also known as the Bay Point Dairy Farm, the Obici House, and Sleepy Hole Golf Course, is a historic home and dairy farm at Suffolk, Virginia, overlooking the Nansemond River. Its main house is an irregularly planned Italian Renaissance style dwelling of two stories, the original section dating to about 1870, with two hip roofed end blocks added in 1925; the property also carries a garage, a silo, a storage building, a large farm building, and a small shed. It was the home of Amedeo Obici, founder of the Planters Nut and Chocolate Company, who purchased Bay Point Farm in 1924 and lived there until his death in 1947, and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
