Pacific Lodge

The Pacific lodge style of architecture is based loosely on notions of cedar lodges and log cabin dwellings built by early inhabitants of the Pacific Northwest region of the United States and Canada. The style appears in historic national park hotels such as the Lake Quinault Lodge and in the houses of some wealthier Seattle residents from the timber baron era, though most early Seattle residents preferred to imitate accepted styles from the eastern United States, and historical pastiches remain more popular throughout the region to this day.
