Indies Empire style, known in Dutch as Indisch Rijksstijl, is an architectural style that flourished in the colonial Dutch East Indies, now Indonesia, between the middle of the eighteenth century and the end of the nineteenth century. It imitates the neoclassical Empire style that was popular in France in the mid-nineteenth century, adapted to the tropical setting of Indonesia, and this adapted form became known in the Dutch East Indies by this name.
