Events that transformed a city's built fabric through destruction, rebuilding or deliberate preservation: the demolition of a landmark such as Pruitt-Igoe, the restoration of a landmark such as Notre-Dame after fire, and large-scale urban rebuilding after events such as the Great Fire of London or the Great Chicago Fire.
