Emirates Towers is a twin tower complex on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, comprising an office tower and a hotel tower linked by a retail concourse called the Boulevard across more than 570,000 square meters of landscaped grounds. Architect Hazel Wong designed the complex, built from 1996 and completed in 1999 with an official opening in April 2000, and though the two towers differ in floor count, 56 stories for the office tower and 54 for the hotel, they reach a similar height of 354.6 meters because the hotel's floors are taller. On completion the towers briefly ranked among Dubai's tallest buildings and remain the 51st tallest in the world and the 11th tallest in Dubai, set within gardens, lakes, and waterfalls that have made the complex an enduring symbol of the city's skyline.
