Erected in 1929 to 1930 as the headquarters of the Manhattan Company, it was designed by H. Craig Severance with Yasuo Matsui and Shreve and Lamb, and it is a New York City designated landmark, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is a contributing property to the Wall Street Historic District.
