Goldin Finance 117 is a supertall skyscraper in the Xiqing District of Tianjin, China, designed by the P&T Group to an intended architectural height of 597 meters across 128 stories. Construction topped out in September 2015, but the project stalled that December amid developer Goldin Properties' financial difficulties following China's 2015 stock market crash, leaving the tower structurally complete but unoccupied and its interior unfinished. Its tapering, diamond-topped form earned it the nickname the walking stick, and it has been recognized as the world's tallest unoccupied building. The stalled project has been cited as a factor behind Chinese government limits on new buildings taller than 500 meters, though a resumption of construction toward completion by 2027 has been announced.
