The American Peace Society House, also known as the Glover House, is an 1878 Italianate row house of brick with sandstone trim at 734 Jackson Place NW facing Lafayette Square in Washington, D.C., built for the banker and philanthropist Charles Carroll Glover. From 1911 to 1947 it served as the headquarters of the American Peace Society, one of the first avowedly pacifist organizations in the United States, tracing its history back to 1815. The house was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1974 in recognition of that peace advocacy legacy.
