The Ashara guest house was a compound in the Kart-e Parwan district of Kabul, Afghanistan, that served as an al-Qaeda facility managed by Abdul Hadi al-Iraqi, described as al-Qaeda's third in command. Jointly financed by al-Qaeda and the Taliban's Defense Ministry, the guest house, also known as the Number Ten Safe House, could hold 25 to 50 people and served as a transition point where graduates of training camps stayed before deployment to frontline areas or onward travel. Accounts of the facility figured in the cases of multiple detainees held at Guantanamo Bay.
