Bates-Englehardt Mansion

Bates-Englehardt Mansion, also known as St. Johnsville Community House, is a historic home at St. Johnsville in Montgomery County, New York. Built in 1869 as a three story Italianate style mansion, it has a main block roughly 35 by 40 feet with a two story kitchen wing to the rear. A brick solarium added in 1916 was later enlarged and converted into an auditorium in 1934, the original flat Italianate roof and cupola were replaced with a Georgian style roof in 1916, and a Colonial Revival style porch was added at the front entrance in 1909.
