Boone Hall

Boone Hall Plantation is a historic district in Mount Pleasant, Charleston County, South Carolina, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and one of the oldest plantations in the country still in agricultural production after more than 320 years. Enslaved African Americans performed most of the plantation's labor and built its characteristic brick structures, though the main house itself dates only to 1936 in the Colonial Revival style. The property, recognized in 2009 as one of South Carolina's African American Historic Places, also preserves an avenue of southern live oak trees believed planted in 1743, and is open for public tours.
