Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts is a former estate near Katonah, New York, about 50 miles north of New York City, built gradually during the 1930s by Walter and Lucie Rosen as a Tuscan-style villa filled with architectural and decorative items imported from Europe. Lucie Rosen later donated the estate to the private organization that runs it today, and it now serves as a live music venue hosting the annual Caramoor Summer Music Festival along with symphonic, opera, chamber, American roots and jazz performances, educational programs and rentable event spaces. The estate's Renaissance-era and Chinese art collection remains on display throughout the grounds, and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.
