Carnegie Hall is a concert venue at 881 Seventh Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, designed by architect William Burnet Tuthill and built by the industrialist and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, its namesake. It is one of the most prestigious venues in the world for classical and popular music, presenting about 250 performances each season through its own artistic programming as well as rentals to visiting performing groups.
