The Chateau de l'Horizon is a Modernist villa on the Golfe Juan at Vallauris in southern France, built in 1932 by the American architect Barry Dierks for the actress Maxine Elliott. Elliott entertained prominent guests there, including Winston Churchill, who visited regularly between 1934 and 1940. After her death in 1940, Prince Ali Khan bought the villa in 1948 and held his 1949 wedding reception there for his marriage to Rita Hayworth. After Prince Ali Khan died in 1960, the future King Fahd of Saudi Arabia purchased the property in 1979, and it has since been expanded and altered under Saudi royal ownership.
