Chester Plantation

Chester Plantation is a historic mansion at 8401 Golf Course Drive in Disputanta, Prince George County, Virginia, its central section built around 1845 as a two-story, single-pile, center-hall-plan Greek Revival frame dwelling by Colonel Williamson Simmons, with a two-story, full-width porch carried on full-height Doric columns. A rear wing was added in 1854 and Colonial Revival wings were added in 1949 under Petersburg businessman Remmie L. Arnold, and the property's contributing outbuildings include an icehouse and well house from the 1840s. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007, the house is now part of the Prince George Country Club Estates and Golf Course and operates as a restaurant and country inn.
