Clarkson-Knowles Cottage

The Clarkson-Knowles Cottage is a historic home at 37 Main Street in the village of Potsdam, St. Lawrence County, New York. Built around 1835 of red Potsdam sandstone in the slab-and-binder construction method, it is a one-and-a-half-story, five-bay residence in the Federal style. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995 under reference number 95001405, recognized for its significance in both regional exploration and settlement and in architecture.
