Comcast Technology Center

The Comcast Technology Center rises in downtown Philadelphia, completed in 2018 to a design by the British firm Foster and Partners for the media company Comcast. At roughly 342 meters it is the tallest building in Philadelphia and, at the time of its completion, the tallest building in the United States outside New York City and Chicago. The tower houses a Four Seasons Hotel in its upper floors, Comcast corporate offices, and production studios for the NBC affiliate NBC10 and the Spanish-language station Telemundo62, making broadcast production part of the building's working program rather than an incidental tenant. Its ground-level public hall contains a large ceiling-mounted video installation, and the tower's tapered glass form and rounded corners were designed to reduce wind loads at its unusually slender height-to-width ratio for a building of its size.
