Cross Orchards Historic Site

Cross Orchards Historic Site is a living history museum in Grand Junction, Colorado, operated as part of the Museums of Western Colorado and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It preserves turn-of-the-twentieth-century agricultural buildings, including a workers bunkhouse and a blacksmith shop, on a 24-acre property that at its peak supported an apple orchard of 243 acres and about 22,000 trees, then the largest orchard operation in western Colorado. The site also displays rolling stock from the Uintah Railway and continues to run as a working farm demonstrating historic practices such as traditional apple cider production.
