Doha Tower, also known as Burj Doha and earlier as Burj Qatar, is a high-rise office tower in the West Bay district of Doha, Qatar. Designed by the French architect Jean Nouvel and completed in 2012, the tower rises 238 meters over 46 stories above ground with three further levels below grade. Its cylindrical facade is patterned after traditional Islamic mashrabiya screening, and the building was the first skyscraper to combine internal reinforced concrete diagrid columns forming an X-shaped bracing pattern with that exterior screen. The tower received the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat's Best Tall Building Worldwide award in 2012.
