Don Francisco Galindo House

The Don Francisco Galindo House is an 1856 Greek Revival and Italianate house at 1721 Amador Avenue in Concord, California, built by Francisco Galindo and his wife Maria Dolores Manuela Pacheco Galindo, whose father Salvio Pacheco held the original Mexican land grant of Rancho Monte del Diablo. The house, enlarged in a major 1875 renovation, is regarded as one of the few surviving Victorian ranch houses in Contra Costa County. Ownership passed from the Galindo family to the City of Concord and then, in 2010, to the Concord Historical Society, which completed further restoration and opened the house to the public in 2012; a relocated 1928 Masonic Temple now stands on the grounds as part of the same historical resource center. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 20, 1988.
