Edward Hopper Birthplace and Boyhood Home

The Edward Hopper Birthplace and Boyhood Home, also known as the Edward Hopper House Art Center, is a two-story Greek Revival house with a later Queen Anne addition at 82 North Broadway in Nyack, New York, built in 1858 by the artist's maternal grandfather, John Smith. It was the home of the painter Edward Hopper from his birth in 1882 until he moved to Manhattan in 1910, and Hopper held title to the house until his death in 1967. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000 and now operates as an art center and museum.
