Eureka Tower is a 297.3-meter, 91-story residential skyscraper in the Southbank precinct of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, designed by Fender Katsalidis Architects and completed on October 11, 2006. Its facade design draws on the Eureka Stockade rebellion, with a red stripe representing the blood spilled during the uprising and blue glass evoking the rebels' flag. On completion it was the world's tallest residential building measured to its highest occupied floor, and it contains 556 apartments; its Melbourne Skydeck observation deck on level 88, at 285 meters, is described as the highest public vantage point in a building in the Southern Hemisphere. It remains Australia's third-tallest building and Melbourne's second-tallest, after Australia 108 overtook it in 2019.
