Fort Bard is a fortified complex built in the 19th century by the House of Savoy on a rocky height above the town of Bard in the Aosta Valley of northwestern Italy. After years of neglect the fort was fully restored and reopened to visitors in 2006 as the Museum of the Alps, and it now also hosts art exhibitions and, in summer, musical and theatrical performances in its main courtyard.
