Giesy-Failing House

The Giesy-Failing House is a historic residence at 1965 SW Montgomery Place in the Southwest Hills neighborhood of Portland, Oregon. Built in 1921 to a design by the architecture firm Jacobberger and Smith in the Arts and Crafts style with Late 19th and 20th Century Revival elements, it stands on a 1.6 acre lot and is distinguished by steep intersecting gabled roofs, a cantilevered stucco second floor, and wrought iron detailing including an arched glass and iron entrance canopy. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 22, 1991, under reference number 91000137, and is also a designated Portland Historic Landmark.
