Hyde Park Gardens Mews

Hyde Park Gardens Mews is a cobbled mews street of 46 houses in the Tyburnia area of Westminster, London, entered through an archway at Clarendon Place on the west and another at Stanhope Terrace on the east, with Sussex Place crossing its middle. Built between about 1836 and 1840, probably to a design by John Crake as part of his Hyde Park Gardens development, it was originally the stable block serving the grand houses of Hyde Park Gardens. The architectural historian Bridget Cherry called it the most extensive surviving group of such service buildings behind a Victorian residential development of this kind. Its houses were given Grade II listed status on the National Heritage List for England on 10 April 1975.
