The Library of Trinity College Dublin is the main library serving Trinity College and is the largest library in Ireland. It is a legal deposit library, so publishers in Ireland must give it a free copy of all their publications, and it is the only Irish library that holds the same deposit right for works published in the United Kingdom. It consists of the Old Library, built during the 18th century, and its Long Room, one of the university's most iconic landmarks, and it is a major tourist attraction holding numerous Irish artifacts and documents, including the eighth-century Book of Kells, which arrived at the college in 1661.
