Lui Seng Chun

Lui Seng Chun is a four storey tong lau, a traditional Hong Kong shophouse, at the junction of Lai Chi Kok Road and Tong Mi Road in Mong Kok, Hong Kong, built between 1929 and about 1931 for owner Lui Leung. The building combines Neoclassical and Italianate elements, with reinforced concrete pad foundations supporting granite columns, deep verandahs and a decorative broken pediment. Its ground floor originally housed a Chinese bone setting medicine and wine shop of the same name while the upper floors served as the Lui family's residence. Declared a Grade I historic building in 2000 and elevated to a declared monument in 2022, the building was adapted and restored, reopening in 2012 as the Hong Kong Baptist University School of Chinese Medicine, Lui Seng Chun.
