Morrocroft

Morrocroft is a Colonial Revival and Tudor Revival brick manor house at 2525 Richardson Drive in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, built around 1925 to 1927 by architect Harrie T. Lindeberg for North Carolina governor and congressman Cameron A. Morrison and his second wife, Sara Ecker Watts Morrison. The residence has a two-story main block, two and a half stories at the rear, with rambling one and a half story side wings, picturesque massing, rhythmically spaced mullioned windows and multiple tall chimneys under steeply pitched gable roofs. The Morrison family owned the property until 1981, after it passed to Cameron Morrison's daughter, Angelia Lawrance Morrison Harris, following his death in 1953, and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 28, 1983.
