Ridgewood Ranch is a five thousand acre property seven miles south of Willits, in rural Mendocino County, California, purchased and developed beginning in 1919 by Charles S. Howard. The ranch is best known as the home and final resting place of the racehorse Seabiscuit, and it retains the Howard family home and Seabiscuit's own stud barn. The property is owned today by the Golden Rule Church Association and operates as a historic and environmental preserve offering guided public tours, and a conservancy group has erected a statue of Seabiscuit on the grounds.
