Shum Yip Upperhills Tower 1 is a 388.1-meter supertall skyscraper in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, standing between Lotus Hill Park and Beacon Hill Park as the tallest building of the mixed-use UpperHills commercial-residential district. Construction began on February 12, 2014, and the tower was completed in 2020, rising 80 floors with office space for technology and multinational companies on its lower 66 floors and a luxury hotel and amenities above. Its structural system, called a Ladder Core System, connects perimeter mega-columns to the central reinforced-concrete core at every story rather than only at mechanical floors.
