The Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall, also known as Wan Qing Yuan, is a two storey colonial style villa at 12 Tai Gin Road in the Balestier area of Singapore, designed in 1900 and built in 1901. Sun Yat sen, who made nine visits to Singapore between 1900 and 1911, used the house as the Nanyang base of the Tongmenghui, and it played a part in the 1911 Xinhai Revolution that ended imperial rule in China. Singapore designated the villa a national monument in 1994, and it now operates as a museum on the roughly 3,120 square meter site, displaying calligraphy, photographs, books, paintings and sculpture related to Sun's life and the revolution.
