That Roundhouse is a roundhouse built in woodland within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park near Newport, Wales, constructed without planning permission over the winter of 1997 and 1998 by Tony Wrench, Jane Faith, and helpers as part of the then secret Brithdir Mawr intentional community. Discovered by the authorities in 1998 and initially threatened with demolition, it was granted retrospective planning permission in 2008, and it has since drawn wide attention as an example of low carbon, low impact, sustainable building.
