The Bower

The Bower is a residence in Jefferson County, West Virginia, built in 1806 in the Federal style. The site's name dates back as far as 1753, when Major General Adam Stephen kept a hunting lodge there. After a fire in 1892, the house was remodeled with Gothic Revival features.
