The Torre dell'Elefante, or Tower of the Elephant, is a medieval defensive tower in the Castello quarter of Cagliari, Sardinia, built in 1307 under Pisan rule to a design by the Sardinian architect Giovanni Capula. Constructed of white limestone and rising roughly 31 meters, it takes its name from a small elephant sculpture carved at its base, a Pisan symbol, and it later served as a prison as well as a defensive gateway into the old city. The tower still stands as a historical monument and entrance to the Castello quarter, having undergone restoration in 1906 under the engineer Dionigi Scano.
