The Toyoma Education Museum occupies a former elementary school building constructed in 1888 in Tome, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, designed by the architect Kisaburo Yamazoe in the Western influenced style of the Meiji period. The building has a U shaped, two story design with balconies and half hexagonal wing ends. It was designated an Important Cultural Property in 1981 and today houses exhibits on the history of education in Japan since the Meiji period.
