The Trump International Hotel and Tower, commonly called Trump Tower, is a skyscraper condo hotel in the Near North Side of downtown Chicago, Illinois, named for Donald Trump and designed by architect Adrian Smith of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill. Bovis Lend Lease built the 100 story structure between 2005 and 2009, reaching 1,388 feet including its spire, with its roof topping out at 1,169 feet, beside the main branch of the Chicago River with a view toward the entry to Lake Michigan.
